The mid-length film “As Pastoras”, of Juliana Chagas, with the support of Goiabeira Filmes, won Honorable Mention at the 2017 Visões Periféricas Festival.
The documentary won the award “because it shows a view of the ghettos of the city clearly produced by the ghetto itself; and because it finds, within a male-predominant universe, the strength of ghetto-based elder black women”.
Fiction film “Julia” wins 2nd place in pitching at the 2022 Visões Lab.
The project under development by Goiabeira Filmes e Produções, has the plot created by screenwriters Sandra Pereira and Ju Chagas and executive production of Quezia Lopes.
At the workshop, the team receive consulting from Maira de Oliveira (screenplay), Ana Cecilia Springefeldt (executive production) and Gustavo Pizzi (direction).
